Senor fish cantina
Señor Fish Cantina is the proposed design for long shuttered bar behind the Señor Fish restaurant in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, CA. Mosaic, glazed porcelain floor tiles create the path leading from the street into the bar, where they fold up the bar dye wall, and define the overall interior space. Rich materials such as earth-tone textured stuccos, gray travertine stone counters, oak wood paneling, and deep brown leather emphasize the ambiance of the bar. Given the relatively low ceiling heights different forms of accent lighting were used through out to illuminate the space. The scope of work includes the bar, lounge and seating, and restrooms, and outdoor seating areas.
The outdoor seating area is designed to be an extension of the indoor space. The concrete floor of the indoor lounge extends through large black bi-fold aluminum doors, Acapulco seating extending on both sides of the door. The remaining courtyard is softened with trees, green ivy wall, decomposed granite, and mix of seating options. An orange and steel vertical slat fence, angled in height, defined the perimeter of the outdoor seating area.
